What information do I need to prepare for international shipping?

You should have some basic information such as, recipient’s details – first & last name, full address including postal code and telephone number. In addition, you should also have some information about the document or parcel you would like to ship, i.e. dimension or weight. This will help speed up the process of getting the item shipped and checked by a member of staff.

How should I deliver the parcel to CPS for overseas shipping?

We have a door-to-door service. This means we can collect the parcel or document from you and deliver to
your recipient’s destination.

Do you charge extra for collection and is there a weight/size limit?

There’s no additional charge for collection and we are happy to collect packages of all sizes.

What is the estimated delivery time for a document or a parcel?

Delivery time usually depends on the distance your shipment has to travel. Under normal circumstances, it can take around 1-5 business days, not including clearing customs at the destination country.

I haven’t packed the item I want to ship. Can you help me organise packaging?

We can help you with packaging, as well as packing your goods, ensuring that the package is secure and suitable for your needs.

How do you calculate shipping cost?

There are 2 ways to calculate shipping cost – using the actual weight and volume weight of the parcel. If the parcel’s actual weight is heavier than its volume weight, the shipping cost will be calculated using the actual weight. However, if the actual weight of the parcel is lighter than the volume weight, the shipping cost will be based on the volume weight.

You can track status of your shipment using your parcel tracking number through the website indicated by a member of staff.

Why was my parcel returned back to me?

There are a number of reasons why a parcel may be returned to sender. For example, incorrect recipient details,recipient rejected delivery or your package contains contraband items - goods banned from the destination country.

Can I ship a Buddha statue overseas?

You must contact the Department of Fine Arts and apply for an export permit before shipping.

Can I ship anything overseas?

Our delivery destinations span across the globe and in many countries, certain types of goods are considered as
dangerous and are banned from entering. As such, we are unable to ship items that are prohibited from export, such as dangerous goods, hazardous materials oritems that can pose a safety risk during transport. For example: firearms, ammunition, explosives, all types of warfare weapons, flammables, some medications, raw foods, currency notes, plants and all live animals.

Does international shipping require any specific documents other than regular courier note?

Certain types of goods will require additional documents, such as:
1. Goods that are/considered as food, medication and some cosmetics products.
2. Chemicals or fillerscontaining certain chemical substances.
3. Clothing items shipping to European countries will require Certificate of Origin (CO) with the shipment.

What is Certificate of Origin (CO) and how can I apply for it?

Certificate of Origin is a document used in international trade. It certifies that the goods in a particular export shipment have been produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country, in this case – Thailand. Please contact our member of staff for details in obtaining your CO.
